EasyGIS

What's that?

The solution is targeted to both professional and non-professional GIS users who need a simple and open Web GIS product. The product is simple in terms of unobtrusive workflow, containing just several basic steps. The product is open in terms of comprehensive business integration, which includes support of different data sources and various RESTful services.

You can freely ingest some data sets coming from various formats supported by GeoTools, GDAL. As a result of user data ingestion EasyGIS provides many Feature Types (in terminology of OpenGIS) associated with some metadata (tags, keywords, Dublin Core metadata). Combining different feature types with Styled Layer Descriptors (how to represent feature types) you create plenty of thematic maps which could be embedded into your custom sites, business applications. Everything in the system, including feature types, styles, and metadata, are exposed via REST interfaces in 2 main formats: html and JSON.

Everything you register in the system is PUBLIC by default. It means everybody can utilize your data sets, styles – construct thematic maps based on data provided by you. As an owner of the data, only you have permissions to update the data. The delete operation is more complex. As the data owner you can delete it with the only one constraint – nobody should have references to your data (references from thematic layers, thematic maps).

The variety of available basic maps (Google Maps, Yahoo Maps, OpenStreetMap) could be used to make up a tailored thematic map perfectly suitable for your needs.
